After Sept. 11th she was sent on NOVA's first team to NY/NJ where she was placed with Port Authority officers of the PATH Precinct in Jersey City who lost 13 officers in the attack. She returned on a later NOVA team to assist at the Family Assistance Center at Liberty Park and to help with the memorial services of Police and Firefighters with the presentations of urns and American flags to the surviving families. 2005-2006 she finally flew her happy, dream job as a smiling Flight Attendant for jetBlue Airways. She is now concentrating on her life long love of writing as a writer for 'The Island Voice Magazine' in New Smyrna Beach, Fl., and on the release of her first children's book...'GRANDMA'S RUG', written for their granddaughter, Makenna.
Ron is retired from Newark Air Force Station and Boeing where he worked in inertial guidance systems repair for almost 36 years. Joining the Air Force in 1966 to see the world, he ended up in Kansas, ten stories underground in missle silos as a member of the Strategic Air Command's (SAC) Titan II missle maintenance team in quality control. Over the years he honed his love of photography, created photo ads for 'Lake Breeze Magazine' in Buckeye Lake, Ohio, and has taken ethereal scenery shots used with his wife's poetry as personalized local gift items. A 'coffee table' book of Jenny's poem 'The Smyrna Serenade' with Ron's beautiful nature photography of New Smyrna Beach is in the works.
Our gift items are guaranteed to be of best quality with velvet backed, solid brass or silver frames. The Police, Fire, and Military plaques are written from the heart by one who has worked in the ranks of public service. 'GRANDMA'S RUG', colorfully and whimsically illustrated by Claude Gilbert of Darkroom Graphics Art Studio in Columbia, SC, is a fun and glorious adventure ride for young children with Grandma on her magical, flying rug.
We hope you enjoy our site,
Ron & Jenny Keeley
